Park Blotter Report
The Sheriff's Blotter is for informational purposes only which enables residents to know what activity is occurring in their communities.
The Sheriff's Blotter data is taken from the official calls for service records kept by the Orange County Sheriff's Department. It is a comprehensive list excluding only those calls where the release of the information could cause harm to an individual or where the release of the information would jeopardize the investigation of a criminal case.
The calls represent what was told to the Deputy in the field by the Radio Dispatcher. The true nature of an incident often differs from what is initially reported. For example, a report of a burglary in process may actually a false audible alarm or a report of a suspected prowler could be an animal in the back yard making noises. So it is purely a snapshot of information.
