The City Manager
is appointed by the City Council and is the Chief Administrative Officer
of the City. The City Manager is responsible for providing support and
advice to the Council; offering leadership and policy support for departments;
fostering community partnerships and interagency collaboration; connecting
citizens with their community through the Foundation; and providing
legislative policy support. The City Manager advises the City Council
on the financial condition of the City. The City Manager makes recommendations
to the Council on affairs of the City, and advises the Council on all
legislative policy matters. The City Manager supervises all City Staff
and is responsible for all the efficient and effective operation of
all City Departments and Services.
The City Manager
is the City Clerk for the City of Villa Park. The principal responsibility
of the City Clerk is to attend all Council meetings and record minutes
and actions of the City Council. The City Clerk is responsible for filing
and safeguarding all City Ordinances, Resolutions, Minutes, Contracts,
and Agreements.
