General Election Information
The next General Municipal Election will be November 6, 2012
The City of Villa Park City Council is made up of five council members that are elected at large within the City. Councilmembers serve a term of four years with a term limit that allows a Councilmember to serve a maximum of two full terms.
The next General Municipal Election to be held on November 6, 2012 and there will be two (2) seats available on the City Council.
City Councilmember Requirements: If you are interested in running for City Council, candidates must be:
- At least 18 years or older, and
- A resident and registered voter of the City of Villa Park.

Date of Election: Tuesday, November 6, 2012
Polls Open: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Seats to be Elected: Two Councilmember seats for a 4 year term each.
The election will be determined by the top two (2) vote recipients:
Seat One: W. Bill MacAloney (ineligible for re-election, will be termed out)
Seat Two: W. Richard Ulmer (ineligible for re-election, will be termed out)
City Hall Location and Hours:
City Hall is located at 17855 Santiago Boulevard in the Villa Park Towne Centre, in the north east corner near Rockwell’s Café. City Hall is open Monday through Thursday, from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and Fridays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The City Clerk’s Office is the same location as City Hall.

Municipal Elections for the City of Villa Park are consolidated with the County of Orange.
Municipal Elections are non-partisan. Candidates are not designated by a party affiliation.
Council Member’s are elected at-large. The Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem are elected by the full Council once seated.
Each Council Member shall serve a four year term. Current term limits state that a person may serve no more than two four year terms in a life time.
The City Council meets once a month on the fourth Tuesday at 7:00 PM unless otherwise scheduled or when a Town Hall or Special Meeting is called.
Council Member’s are not compensated. Council Member’s and former Council Member’s may opt for health coverage and such coverage shall be reimbursed by the participating member.
