Villa Park Library>
Pictured are some items donated by the Friends. New carpet and furnishings in the lounge area make a comfortable reading and studying area. The display rack, with fifty periodicals and newspapers, make a colorful display against the wall. The computer lab has been doubled in size. The Library now have six computers for adults and two for children.

Meetings

The Friends of the Villa Park Library meet on the first Thursday of each month at 5:00 PM. Meetings are held in the Villa Park Council Chambers at 17855 Santiago Boulevard.

The Sixth Annual Villa Park 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for June 26, 2010.

THE FIRST ANNUAL GINGERBREAD HOUSE COMPETITION
Hurry!! Participation is limited!!
No entry fee required

The competition is open to everyone. There are four entry categories" Professional, Adult, Youth 11-15 and Youth 10 and under. Gingerbread House Kits are acceptable. Ribbons will be awarded to the top three winners in each of the four categories. Entry forms and complete instructions are available at the Villa Park Library and the Villa Park City Hall. Completed entry forms MUST be returned to the Library or City Hall by Monday, November 30, 2009. Gingerbread Houses, to be judged, must be delivered to the Villa Park branch of the Bank of America no later than noon, December 10.
